Our Eye Examinations
While many people only think about visiting an optician when their vision becomes blurry, regular eye examinations play a much bigger role than simply updating your prescription.
At Burrows and Wozencroft, we believe that routine eye tests are one of the best ways to protect your sight and detect issues early.
The importance of Regular eye exams
Eye tests are not just about determining whether you need glasses or contact lenses. They also allow your optician to assess the overall health of your eyes and to detect early signs of wider health conditions. For example, the inside of your eye can reveal clues about issues such as high blood pressure or diabetes.
Additionally, many eye conditions, including glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease, develop gradually without obvious warning signs. Regular check-ups can help catch these changes early when treatment or management can be most effective. We recommend having an eye exam every 2 years.
Your Appointment
We’re committed to providing high standards of care and personalised service for every patient. Our eye examinations are never rushed, allowing our opticians the time needed to understand your concerns and recommend the most suitable solution.
No matter how simple or complex your vision needs may be, our experienced team works hard to find the right answer. We also have an in-house laboratory with a large stock of lenses, which means we can often turn orders around quickly. In some cases, if the required lenses are available, your glasses may even be ready on the same day.
